These are a few shots from a website prototype for a visual essay discussing the implicit messaging and impacts of "shape language" and conventions of character design within the animation industry. Namely, discussing the roots behind equating physical appearance and perceived morality through the lens of semiotics. This website is minimalist, straightforward, and simple to navigate. It was completed in the sketch app. Stylistically, I sought inspiration from contemporary cartoons and german constructivist artwork in order to showcase not only how politics and media are intertwined but specifically a period in history right before these prejudices were taken to their most horrible extremes.
